Service dogs must be registered with your local county animal control or sheriffs department like any other dog. Some counties have a separate registration for service animals so the can reconnect handlers with animal in case of separation. National service dog registries as seen online are not legally recognized. There is nor requirement for certification of service dogs. It is recommended that your dog be as a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) by the AKC. Check with your local dog trainers.
